STEAM Opportunities for Girl Scouts

Arizona Science Center offers unique STEM-focused experiences for Girl Scouts of all levels! From Half day BadgeLabs to evening twilight adventures and overnight sleepovers, each program is packed with science fun, badge-earning activities, and unforgettable memories.

Girl Scout Patch Workshop

$30 Per Girl Scout | $5 Per Chaperone
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

In this two-hour workshop, Girl Scouts will explore STEM topics through hands-on activities designed to be fun and engaging! Complete experiments, challenges, and interactive projects, all while earning an Arizona Science Center fun patch to celebrate your accomplishments.

Astronomy Fun Patch

For All Scout Levels

Explore the stars, planets, and space through hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity while earning your Astronomy Fun Patch. Girl Scouts will investigate the night sky and discover what makes our universe amazing!

Note:
  • Scouts must be accompanied by an adult (1:6 ratio).
  • Closed-toe shoes required.

Biology Fun Patch

For All Scout Levels

Explore the science of life through hands-on biology activities! Girl Scouts will investigate living things, discover how plants and animals grow, and learn how scientists study the natural world.

Chemistry Fun Patch

For All Scout Levels

Discover the exciting world of chemistry through hands-on experiments. Participants will explore reactions, mixtures, and changes in matter while earning their exclusive patch.

  • Closed-toe shoes required.

Engineering Fun Patch

For All Scout Levels

Explore engineering through hands-on design challenges. Girl Scouts will work together to plan, build, and test solutions while learning how teamwork solves real-world problems.

Girl Scout Badge Workshops

$25 Per Girl Scout | $5 Per Chaperone
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

During this two-hour badge workshop, Girl Scouts will dive deeper into science, technology, engineering, or math. Complete guided activities, practice problem-solving and teamwork, and leave with new skills and knowledge on your way to earning Girl Scout Badges.

Craft and Tinker

For Levels Daisy - Junior

Unleash your creativity and curiosity while earning your Craft and Tinker Badge! Girl Scouts will explore hands-on building, designing, and crafting activities that inspire imagination and innovation.

For Levels Daisy - Junior

Under the Dorrance DOME

For Brownie - Ambassador Levels

Gaze into the wonders of the universe during this unforgettable overnight inside the Dorrance DOME! Girl Scouts will explore stars, planets, and galaxies through hands-on activities, engaging demonstrations, and guided learning experiences that spark curiosity about space. Spend the evening surrounded by a breathtaking 360° view of the stars, creating the unforgettable feeling of sleeping beneath the night sky. Through discovery and wonder, Girl Scouts will deepen their understanding of the cosmos—and earn an exclusive Arizona Science Center Astronomy Patch to commemorate their journey.
