Getting Here

Directions

Arizona Science Center is located on Washington Street between Fifth and Seventh Streets in Heritage & Science Park. Our entrance faces Monroe Street (north) and is accessible from Heritage & Science Park.

Parking

The Heritage and Science Park Garage is conveniently located at the southeast corner of North Fifth Street and East Monroe Street. Bring your parking pass right by front door at the help desk or to the admissions zone to have it validated. Validated passes will receive a discounted rate on parking (only valid at the Heritage and Science Park Garage).

We also have a convenient rideshare drop-off/pick-up location near our entrance on 5th Street.

NOTICE: The Heritage Garage is owned and managed by ACE Parking. Arizona Science Center does not own, operate, or control parking rates, policies, or availability at this facility. Parking rates and availability may vary based on downtown events and demand. If Heritage Garage is full, parking may be available at other local garages, including Phoenix Convention Center. Please visit parkphx.com for the most current parking information.
Hours

Arizona Science Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note, we are closed on Mondays, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Members can enjoy early admission to the Science Center starting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Where is Arizona Science Center located?

Arizona Science Center is located in downtown Phoenix at 600 East Washington, Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Where should I park?

The Heritage and Science Park Garage is conveniently located on 5th Street and Monroe Street. Arizona Science Center will validate your parking pass to receive a discounted price on parking—only valid at the Heritage Parking Garage.

When is Arizona Science Center open?

Arizona Science Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are closed on Mondays.

If I leave the Arizona Science Center, can I re-enter later the same day?

Yes! When you check in, you will receive a wristband that allows re-entry on the same day.

Do you rent wheelchairs or strollers?

Wheelchairs are available to rent on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. We do not currently have strollers to rent; however, guests are welcome to bring their own strollers or wagons.

Is Arizona Science Center stroller-friendly?

Yes! Arizona Science Center is a stroller-friendly venue with two elevators to allow easy access to each level of the building.

How do I pick up my tickets for After Hours Events at the Arizona Science Center?

Please enter Arizona Science Center through the Main Entrance and head down the ramp to Guest Sales & Services. A Team Member will assist you with getting checked in for your show.

Do I need to purchase general admission with my After Hours Event ticket?

After Hours events do not require the purchase of general admission as access to the full Science Center may be limited.

Yes! The Dorrance DOME—formerly known as the Dorrance Planetarium—is a permanent feature at the Arizona Science Center, ushering in a new era of immersive education and cultural engagement. Powered by next-generation technologies, including a high-resolution LED dome display and a dynamic content ecosystem, it positions the Arizona Science Center as a global leader in immersive science storytelling.

What is the cost of admission to the Dorrance DOME?

What type of programming will be available in the Dorrance DOME?

More than a planetarium, the Dorrance DOME is a gateway to the universe—hosting immersive astronomy shows, live presentations, concerts, yoga, and community gatherings that unite art, science, and culture beneath one dazzling LED dome.

How long is each show?

Daytime shows run on average for 30 minutes. To view more information on available shows and specific run times per show, please visit Dorrance DOME.

How early should I arrive before a show starts?

We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes before your scheduled showtime. This gives you plenty of time to check in, find your seat, get comfortable, and ensure you don’t miss the start of the experience. Once the show begins, late entry may be restricted to avoid disruptions.

Are food and drinks allowed inside the Dorance DOME?

Food and drinks are allowed inside the Dorrance DOME. Guests are welcome to bring small snacks and beverages to enjoy during the immersive experience. Please be mindful of others by keeping items contained and disposing of trash properly, ensuring everyone can enjoy the show in a clean and comfortable environment.

What Accessibility Options are Available in the Dorrance DOME?

The Dorrance DOME offers five ADA-compliant seating spaces. Guests may enter through the main entrance, where a Team Member will be happy to assist you in locating your seat. If you need ADA seating, please call ahead so we can confirm availability and ensure everything is ready for your visit.

Additional accessibility accommodations are available, including Google Live Transcribe on a provided device. ASL interpreters may also be arranged with one week’s notice.

How many seats are in the Dorrance DOME?

Dorrance DOME comfortably seats 205 guests in total, featuring 200 seats—including 112 fixed and 88 movable chairs—for a world-class, immersive experience from every angle. Five ADA-compliant spaces provide flexible seating configurations to accommodate guests of all abilities and group sizes, making the experience accessible to everyone.
