CAMP INNOVATION

Register Now for Summer 2024

Let your imagination run wild in our series of 5-day camp sessions that spark curiosity in science through hands-on interactive programs that incorporate learning through high-energy challenges, building, and design. CAMP INNOVATION is sure to inspire, educate and engage your curious mind through hands-on science. Space is limited and pre-registration is required for all camp sessions.

Registration closes on Thursday morning ,the week prior to the beginning of camp.

Meet our Partner: Established in 1997, Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) is an internationally recognized nonprofit that conducts research, provides evidence-based practices, disseminates effective training and builds inclusive communities. SARRC is partnering with CAMP INNOVATION for the second year to provide support and training on inclusive practices for Arizona Science Center camp instructors, helping us provide the best experience for all campers.

Career Camp

Grades 1-6
July 15-19

Are you curious about what it takes to land a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) career? Career Camp will give campers a glimpse into the lives of STEAM professionals in various fields, from healthcare and technology to design and sports! Throughout the week, future scientists will explore the possibilities of their future through engaging, hands-on activities related to each profession, with each day dedicated to a different field.

We Are Engineers!

Grades 1-6
July 22-26

Calling all future engineers—if you’ve ever wondered what a day in the life of an engineer looks like, this is the camp for you! Each day, campers will explore a different engineering field and engage in hands-on investigations designed to get a better feel for what each engineer may encounter during their day-to-day work.


Extended Days

4:00 – 6:00 p.m. | $75 per Week per Camper | Onsite Camps at Arizona Science Center

Campers will get to freely explore different activities after the regular camp day is over. CAMP INNOVATION Team Members will be supervising the campers in the typical drop-off and pick-up zones during this time. There is no change to the pick-up process, just call 602.710.0670 and we will bring your camper(s) out to you for dismissal.


Scholarships

Arizona Science Center is committed to providing access to exceptional educational experiences in STEM learning, regardless of ability to pay program fees. Scholarships for camps are available thanks to generous donors and community partners.

Icky, Sticky, Slimy Science
July 1-3:  Ages 5-12 | 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. 1:00P.M.-4:00 P.M.
Dive into all things gross! Throughout the week, campers will explore the human body, states of matter and more through hands-on activities. From making your own slime and decoding candy DNA to investigating our body’s stomach acid and performing thrilling experiments, future scientists will tap into chemistry, biology and more.

NASA ASTRO CAMP®
July 15-19:  Ages 5-12  | 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. 1:00P.M.-4:00 P.M.
Calling all future space explorers—NASA ASTRO CAMP® is for our true astronomy lovers! Throughout the week, Jr. space explorers will discover our Solar System and beyond through STEAM activities and experiments. Campers will learn about our Moon’s phases and habitats, discover alien ocean magnetism, and create their own mission patches.

One Ocean
July 1-3 Ages 8-12 | 9:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. $0 - Generously provided by grant funding received by the City of Prescott.

Calling all ocean explorers! Dive into the ocean deep to discover the weird and wonderful things that lie beneath the waves. Throughout the week, campers will learn about oceanography by exploring the ocean’s properties, characteristics, marine life and geography through hands-on challenges and experiments. Discover the ocean’s zones, how to protect sea turtle nests, how sharks stay buoyant and the effects of ocean acidification.
