CREATE at Arizona Science Center® is where science, design and engineering collide! Inspired by the productivity of an inventor’s workshop, the creativity of an art studio and the experimentation of a lab, CREATE is a 6,500 square-foot community hub for turning dreams into reality.
At CREATE, people of all ages can share ideas, collaborate on projects and learn about science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) through making. By using state-of-the-art, computer-controlled equipment and traditional crafting tools, Makers will have the chance to cut, saw, code, hammer, sew, paint, solder and much more!

Wednesday - Saturday | 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Using the tools, machines and materials already available at CREATE, aspiring artists, handiwork enthusiasts and curious creatives will have the freedom to build on our 3D printers, etch designs with our laser cutters, woodwork using our tools and machinery, and sew up stylish creations.
Skill Studio
Woodworking 101 | 3D Printing | Laser Cutting
CREATE at Arizona Science Center®'s Skill Studio Workshops explore beginner woodworking, laser cutting, 3D printing and sewing. Through one-hour sessions, the experts at CREATE will guide Makers through the creation process of a take-home keepsake, safety best practices, and tips and tricks.
Homeschool Workshops

CREATE at Arizona Science Center®'s Homeschool Workshops explore beginner woodworking, laser cutting and 3D printing, connecting the arts back to Arizona State Science Standards. Through two-hour sessions, the experts at CREATE will guide homeschoolers through the creation process of a take-home keepsake, safety best practices, and tips and tricks.
Creator Courses
Intro to ShopBot | Wood Shop
CREATE at Arizona Science Center®'s Creator Courses offer the space for Makers to expand on their creative passions. The Makerspace currently offers two courses: Intro to ShopBot CNC and Wood Shop. Both courses walk Makers through the process of using a ShopBot CNC Router and woodworking through longer sessions.
