Arizona Science Center Launches Bold Renewal Initiative to Transform Visitor Experience
Community Invited to Shape the Future of Science Engagement in Arizona
PHOENIX – Arizona Science Center is embarking on a transformative journey to redefine science learning and engagement through its ambitious Visitor Experience Renewal Plan. This initiative aims to elevate the Center from a beloved institution to a premier destination for science exploration, education, and inspiration in the heart of downtown Phoenix.
As Arizona continues to thrive and Phoenix remains one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the United States, the Science Center recognizes the need to evolve alongside its community.
The Renewal Plan is designed to:
- Make Arizona Science Center a Destination of Choice and a ‘must-see’ part of Arizona
- Offer Compelling Science Content and Memorable Science Experiences
- Broaden the Appeal and Interest in the Science Center to Audiences of All Ages.
"Our goal is to expand the role and impact of the Center as a leading place for informal learning and ensure it remains a vibrant, inclusive, and inspiring space for exploring and understanding the wonders of science," said Guy Labine, The Hazel A. Hare President & CEO of Arizona Science Center.
Community Engagement at the Forefront
Central to the Renewal Plan is a commitment to community involvement. Arizona Science Center is hosting its Inaugural Community Listening Event on Wednesday, May 21, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Interested attendees can RSVP HERE.
This free event invites residents, educators, families, and science enthusiasts to share their thoughts, dreams, and visions for the future of Arizona Science Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, ask questions, and help shape the next chapter of the Center's offerings.
"We believe that the best way to serve our community is by listening to it," said Sari Custer, M.S., Chief of Science & Curiosity. "This event is a unique opportunity for individuals to have a direct impact on the future of Arizona Science Center, the experiences we create and how we better serve our community in the future."
A Vision for the Future
The Renewal Plan seeks to ensure that Arizona Science Center remains culturally and technologically relevant, strengthens its connection to diverse communities, and inspires a more scientifically literate Arizona. By engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders, the Center aims to create experiences that resonate with all visitors.
