The Traveling Exhibition of Science of Guinness World Records Opens at White Mountain Nature Center
1,000 Square Foot Version Of The Official Exhibition Open The Month Of May
PINETOP–LAKESIDE AZ – May 8, 2023 – Guests of the White Mountain Nature Center will have the opportunity to see a 1,000 sq. ft. version of The Science of Guinness World Records during the month of May as part of a partnership with Arizona Science Center.
“We continually seek opportunities to expand our reach beyond the Science Center’s Phoenix physical presence,” said Guy Labine, The Hazel A. Hare President & CEO, Arizona Science Center. “This partnership with White Mountain Nature Center is a wonderful way to allow more children and families to experience the awe inspiring accomplishments of those featured in the exhibition – and question their own limits as well.”
The smaller version of the 6000 sq. ft. original exhibition will be open at White Mountain Nature Center, 425 S. Woodland Road, Lakeside, AZ 85935, through May 31—open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
“We are thrilled to be able to host a portion of the Science of Guinness World Records exhibition,” said John Glitsos, White Mountain Nature Center Board of Directors, President. “I know our guests will be awed and inspired by science behind the mesmerizing accomplishments.”
The Science of Guinness World Records’ interactive exhibition will leave guests astonished as they discover exactly what goes into accomplishing the seemingly impossible. Guests will learn about amazing record-breakers, and learn more about how bodies react, focus, and endure. Guests will use the science behind their skills to help them become better record-breakers, and will have the ability to challenge themselves and others to officially break a world record.
“A huge thank you to the Pinetop-Lakeside community for welcoming the Science Center to your community,” said Anita Theisen, Arizona Science Center Board of Trustees, Chair “We know how important these types of opportunities are to advance STEM learning and engagement to allow learners of all ages to bring science to life.”
Beyond the challenges, guests will be drawn in by inspirational stories, as well as intriguing artifacts that will be showcased throughout the exhibition. Engaging and interactive record attempts inspire guests and ignite their desire to also record.
The Science of Guinness World Records is co-produced by Science North, one of Canada’s largest and most respected science centers, and Ripley’s Entertainment, the entertainment and edutainment company founded by the great Robert Ripley.
